DBT Group for Managing Intense Emotions (Adults 18+):

This DBT group offers "rolling admissions" and accepts new members through out the calendar year as spaces become available. The meeting time for the DBT group is subject to change on a semester basis.

Currently, the group is meeting, in-person at our clinic in Fairfax, on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM.

The DBT group incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to help adults (18 years and older) cope with and manage intense emotions. The group meets on a weekly basis, and it takes about 24 weeks to complete all the skills modules included in the group's curriculum. All group members are required to have an individual therapist while participating in this group.

If you have questions and/or would like to be on our waiting list for the DBT group, please call 703 993-1370, email CCMH@gmu.edu or click here to request services.
