Specialized Services for Veterans

CCMH is proud to work with veterans and their families. Our therapy, assessment and medication management programs are available to anyone in need on a sliding scale to ensure that cost is not a barrier to receiving mental health care.

For qualified veterans, the Jennifer DiMauro Honor Fund for Veterans supports free assessments, therapy, and medication management for veterans. If you are a veteran who would like to seek mental health care at CCMH, please request services HERE.

CCMH works with the following legal groups and their associated law firms to provide independent medical evaluations for discharge or benefits upgrades. If you are a veteran interested in pursuing this type of application, please contact one of the legal clinics below first for more information on the process.

Legal Services of Northern Virginia (LSNV)

CCMH also accepts referrals for therapy from the Virginia Veterans and Family Support Program (VVFS). If you are a veteran or family member interested in seeking mental health care funded through VVFS, please contact VVFS first.

We rely on our community to help support veterans

The Jennifer DiMauro Honor Fund for Veterans supports free assessments and therapy for veterans. This fund was created in memory of Jennifer DiMauro, a graduate student whose work at CCMH focused on providing mental health care to veterans.  Gifts to this fund allow CCMH to continue offering no-cost services to qualified veterans.

The Justine M. Pelham fund For Students Supporting Veterans provides operational support to expand training opportunities at CCMH for those trainees interested in providing specialized mental health care for veterans. This fund is established in memory of Justine M. Pelham, an employee of the Legal Services of Northern Virginia, whose devotion to serving veterans was an inspiration to those who knew her.  Gifts to this fund allow CCMH to continue training the next generation of behavioral health care providers to provide specialized services to veterans.
