ADVANCE Program: Curricular Pathways

Join us on Zoom to learn how you could enter Mason by completing an associate degree at NOVA in a cost-effective manner with Jason Dodge, Assistant Director, Counseling & Outreach Office of Student Financial Aid, NOVA + GMU.

This event will be followed by a FREE group zoom session is open to teens and young adults (16 to 21 years old) who have recently arrived in the United States from Afghanistan.

Please note that this is not a therapy group but a support group that will provide a safe space for social interaction, community resources, and cultural exchange.

Purpose of the group:

• To CONNECT you with other teenagers and young adults who have experienced similar challenges so that you can support each other
• To EXCHANGE resources and ideas
• to ENGAGE in activities (e.g. seminars) that will help you navigate American culture and the education system
